MAHSA International College (Penang), formerly known as Penang International Dental College (PIDC), is a private higher education institution located in Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia. Established in 2006, the institution has built a strong reputation in healthcare and professional education, having successfully trained more than 900 dental surgeons serving in both public and private sectors locally and internationally.
As part of its strategic expansion and alignment with the ONE MAHSA vision, the institution transitioned to MAHSA International College (Penang), reflecting its growth into a multidisciplinary institution while continuing its strong legacy in dental education. The college remains committed to academic excellence, innovation, experiential learning, and the development of industry-ready graduates.
The college’s flagship programme is the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), a distinctive five-year programme conducted in collaboration with MAHSA University. Students complete their first two years of pre-clinical studies at the Saujana Putra Campus of MAHSA University, followed by three years of intensive clinical training at the Penang campus. This integrated model provides students with strong foundational knowledge alongside comprehensive hands-on clinical experience.
In addition, the college offers Foundation in Science (FIS) and Foundation in Arts (FIA) programmes, providing students with structured pathways into degree studies, particularly within healthcare and related disciplines.
Expanding its academic portfolio further, the School of Business offers the Diploma in Business Studies, designed to provide practical, industry-relevant education aligned with current workforce and industry demands. The institution has also established the School of Nursing, offering the Diploma in Nursing, alongside various upskilling and professional development programmes that support lifelong learning and workforce transformation.
The campus is equipped with modern teaching, simulation, and clinical facilities, including dental laboratories, digital learning environments, simulation clinics, prosthetic laboratories, and comprehensive clinical training facilities. The college also operates a dental centre that provides accessible oral healthcare services to the community, including underserved populations.
