MAHSA International College (Penang), formerly known as Penang International Dental College (PIDC), is a private higher education institution located in Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia. Established in 2006, the college has built a strong reputation in dental education, having successfully trained more than 900 dental surgeons who are currently serving in both public and private sectors locally and internationally.
As part of its strategic growth and alignment with the ONE MAHSA vision, the institution has transitioned to MAHSA International College (Penang). This change reflects a broader academic direction—expanding beyond dental education into a multidisciplinary institution while strengthening integration within the MAHSA education ecosystem. The transition builds on a strong legacy while positioning the college for future growth, innovation, and wider student opportunities.
The college offers a distinctive Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) programme — a five-year course delivered in collaboration with MAHSA University. The first two years of pre-clinical studies are conducted at MAHSA University’s Saujana Putra Campus, followed by three years of intensive clinical training at the Penang campus. This integrated structure ensures students develop strong foundational knowledge alongside comprehensive hands-on clinical experience.
In addition to the DDS programme, the college offers Foundation in Science (FIS) and Foundation in Arts (FIA) programmes, providing students with a direct and structured pathway into degree-level studies, particularly in dentistry and other healthcare related fields.
Expanding its academic portfolio, MAHSA International College (Penang) has introduced a Diploma in Business Studies, with its first intake commencing in May 2026. This programme is designed to be practical, industry-relevant, and aligned with current workforce demands, equipping students with strong foundational knowledge and career-ready skills.
As part of its continued growth, the college is also in the process of introducing Nursing programmes, further strengthening its position as a multidisciplinary institution within the healthcare and education sectors. These programmes will be aligned with national regulatory requirements and designed to meet the increasing demand for qualified healthcare professionals.
The campus is equipped with modern teaching and clinical facilities, including dental laboratories, polyclinics, Digital labs and prosthetic laboratories, and comprehensive simulation environments to support our expanding profile. The college also operates a dental centre that provides accessible oral healthcare services to the community, including underserved populations.
